When the world shut down due to Covid-19 , one vision lit up — Rocketly was born not from certainty, but from courage. the story starts from a small room n Bangalore became the birthplace of a big dream. With just one laptop, a whiteboard full of scribbles, and sleepless nights, Rocketly Digital Academy took its first breath. Founded by a passionate marketer who had once been laid off, Rocketly wasn’t just a business — it was a mission. The goal? To empower individuals who felt lost in the chaos, offering them a way to rebuild their careers through digital marketing. The first course had only 12 students — homemakers, job seekers, and college dropouts. But what they shared was hope. By the end of the year, all 12 had either landed freelance projects or internships. That was Rocketly’s first milestone: changing 12 lives. The academy didn’t have fancy tools or huge capital. But it had heart. Every success story brought tears, joy, and purpose. Rocketly wasn't just teaching — it was transforming.

2021 – From a Room to a Movement 🔥

By 2021, the echoes of Rocketly’s humble beginnings had started to spread. Word-of-mouth, testimonials, and Instagram reels from successful students brought an unexpected surge — over 500 inquiries in just six months. Rocketly moved out of the founder’s home and into a shared co-working space. It wasn't big, but it felt like a dream. Every wall bore post-its, goals, and reminders of why they began: “Real Skills, Real Careers.” This year, 3 new mentors joined the mission — all past students turned professionals. They brought authenticity, energy, and a deep understanding of what learners truly needed. Rocketly introduced live case studies, hands-on projects, and one-on-one mentorships. But 2021 also came with struggle. Juggling content creation, operations, and student support took a toll. There were days when burnout loomed large — but one email from a student who said, “Rocketly saved me from giving up on life” reminded the team what they were building. By the end of 2021, Rocketly had helped over 200 students find freelance gigs, internships, or full-time jobs.

2022 – Breaking Barriers, Building Futures 💡

By 2022, Rocketly was no longer a name whispered in tight circles — it was a force in the digital learning space. With a growing tribe of alumni turning into mentors, Rocketly introduced something bold: India’s first practical-first digital marketing curriculum built entirely from real client projects. But this year brought a deeper calling. The team noticed something heartbreaking — many talented students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities couldn’t afford quality digital education. So Rocketly launched the “Lift-Off Scholarship” — offering 100% funding for deserving students. Over 60 were selected. One of them, Aarti from a small town in Rajasthan, went from never touching a laptop to managing Instagram campaigns for a fashion brand in Mumbai. It wasn’t all smooth. Scaling fast came with cracks — tech issues, delayed sessions, and feedback that stung. But Rocketly responded with humility and fire. They introduced lifetime access, recorded classes, and tighter community engagement. By year-end, Rocketly hit 1,000+ learners, and hosted their first ever virtual alumni meet — filled with laughter, stories, and tears. 2022 wasn’t about numbers. 2023 – The Year of Community and Comebacks 💫

2023 began with ambition. Rocketly had big plans: launching new courses, expanding into video marketing, and opening its first physical learning hub in Bangalore. But life had its curveballs. Mid-year, a platform crash wiped out hours of student data. Classes were disrupted. Reviews dipped. For the first time, doubt entered the Rocketly HQ. Emails poured in — some supportive, some frustrated. The team was crushed. They had never let their students down before. But here's where Rocketly’s true spirit shone. Every mentor stepped in to personally tutor affected students. The founder recorded night-long explainer sessions. Even alumni showed up to support the batches. In the middle of chaos, something beautiful emerged — a community that refused to let each other fall. Rocketly bounced back, stronger and more human than ever. They introduced a powerful learning app, added mental wellness check-ins, and hosted offline community meetups across 3 cities. They didn’t just rebuild tech — they rebuilt trust. By the end of 2023, Rocketly crossed 2,500 active learners and launched its “Freelancer to Founder” program, helping 70+ students start their own digital businesses.

2024 – From Academy to a Movement 🚀❤️

By 2024, Rocketly wasn’t just an online academy anymore — it had become a symbol of second chances and self-made success. The Bangalore hub was buzzing with learners, creators, and mentors. But something deeper happened this year: the “Learn. Earn. Lead.” initiative was launched. Rocketly began offering paid internship pipelines directly from the academy. Students didn’t just study — they worked with real brands, earned real income, and built real portfolios while learning. In 2025, Rocketly celebrated its 5th anniversary — not with a lavish event, but with a heartwarming “Rocketly Stories” documentary. It featured students like Aman, once a delivery boy, now running a 3-person digital agency; and Meera, a single mom who now teaches SEO to over 500 learners online. The community grew to 5,000+ learners. But numbers were never the goal. The mission remained the same — make digital marketing education accessible, practical, and human.
